C.I.T.
CIT means Counselor-in-Training. Every year,
for
those students who have already passed college entrance exams who don't have
the pressure of applying for college, the WEGO Mountain Program offers a
chance
at a
different type of learning. With an intensive training program,
they become one of the WEGO Mountain Program members. CITs are vital
components to the program because they are young and can more easily
empathize with students and build a bridge between teachers and students
Many of the
teachers
currently teaching at the
WEGO Mountain Program are
former
CITs. With this CIT training, many years
of
volunteering while attending college, and learning by doing which is the
WEGO Mountain Program’s
most
valued learning style,
they
have
become teachers
for
the program.
